On 18 December 2021, closing ceremony drew the curtains down on the 21st Foreign Language and Culture Festival of Chongqing University and 2022 New Year Party organized by the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures (FLC). Themed by “carrying forward Chinese culture through translation”, this event attracted students from different schools and teachers in FLC mainly.
Ou Lin, School’s CPC Secretary, addressed at the event. Prof. Ou recalled foreign language and culture festivals of all previous years, highlighted the significance of the event to promote international awareness and cross-cultural understanding competence of students in Chongqing University. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to all organizers of this event for the thoughtful arrangement. And on behalf of the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures, she extended best wishes to all attendant teachers and students for the coming year.
Foreign Languages and Culture Festivals of Chongqing University has always been taking the mission to raise students’ international and cross-cultural understanding awareness. It has also been a platform for all CQU students to present their foreign language abilities and other talents. With dancing, singing, foreign language drama show, the closing ceremony has become a college students’ talent show. Teachers and students gathered together to welcome a happy new year as well.
